O čem je program
The objective of doctoral studies is to foster the graduates with creative approach to scientific work who can further apply and independently develop the state-of-the art know-how in their fields. Graduates acquire the most advanced experimental and theoretical methods and techniques. They are encouraged to carry out scientific projects supported by their own grants, they are oriented towards modern information technologies and scientific literature and they are able to design and theoretically analyse the advanced experimental setups including processing and evaluating complex experimental data. Graduates are able to communicate, write and present the results in English in order to establish professional cooperation with international partners.
The graduates of the PhD program Optics and Optoelectronics demonstrate, in the corresponding range and degree of details, mathematical knowledge to the extent necessary for understanding the theories of classical as well as modern physics, experimental methods and particular knowledge at specific areas of optics and optoelectronics. They are able to carry out creative research and scientific activities in the broad field of modern optics and optoelectronics. They can specialize in experimental and theoretical quantum optics, interaction of radiation with matter, experimental atomic and ion physics, optical quantum communication and quantum information processing, optomechanics, modern imaging methods, Fourier optics and digital holography, Raman optical spectroscopy or physiological optics and science of vision. They are acquainted with the state-of-the-art optical experimental techniques and measurement methods, they are able to design, implement and optimize highly complex experimental configurations and independently analyse and evaluate complex experimental data.
